Get Your Mother’s Day Brunch On

Get Your Mother’s Day Brunch On

We get that Mother’s Day brunch is kinda cliché. I mean, isn’t that what EVERYONE does on Mother’s Day? Yes. But just because brunching is popular doesn’t detract from its awesomeness – especially if rather than dining out, you let Mom relax while you do the cooking.

Before we go any further, if you’re a Mom reading this post, please do not pass go. Forward this link to the special people in your life and close the window. We can’t give away all the surprises. Trust us, we got this!

Ok, now that it’s just us, here are few things to keep in mind to make this Mother’s Day special — and painless.

  1. The small things count. What’s mom’s favorite flower? Consider placing stems in vases or jars around the house and on the kitchen table. If you’re not sure, go with something classic like peonies.
  2. Keep it simple. Simple does not mean boring, it means letting whole-food ingredients shine while maximizing time doing Mother’s Day activities outside of the kitchen – which we suspect is exactly what would make mom happy.
  3. Put health first. We all like to splurge now and then, but unless Mom has specifically asked for a special treat, it’s best to prepare a meal that she won’t feel guilty indulging in. Follow our recipes and you can easily check this off.

In the below “officially Mother’s Day-approved” categories, choose one of the suggested recipes. If you’re inspired or have extra help in the kitchen, make both, create a menu and let mom order. Trust us, she’ll be impressed!

Mother’s Day Brunch Menu

Something Fizzy … or not

Orange Apricot Spritzer
This white wine spritzer with sweet citrus and lingering apricot is the perfect way to show mom you didn’t just throw this meal together.

Potassium-Protein Morning Shake

Have a full day planned? This energy-boosting shake is a great jump start! It’s packed with vitamins and nutrients, but not too filling.

Something Pastry

Super Berry Scones
These Super Berry Scones are best served warm. After you whip them up, pour mom a hot cup of tea and enjoy fresh from the oven.

Fruity Pastry Pillows
These pastry pillows only taste like you’ve been slaving away in the kitchen. This recipe calls for only 4 ingredients including your choice of organic, dried fruit. Why not prepare two different batches and give mom a choice? We like apricots and Smyrna Fig.

Something Green

Figs and Goat Cheese Fusion Salad

This restaurant-quality salad is a snap when you start with pre-washed greens. Look for a colorful blend of fresh arugula, different kales, baby lettuces and radicchio.

Prosciutto & Grilled Fig Salad
Light, fresh, totally delicious and a breeze to prepare. To boost the wow-factor consider adding an elegant 3-minute egg on the side.

Something Egg-y
Stuffed Breakfast Tomatoes
Vine-ripe tomatoes? Mozzarella cheese? Eggs? Oh, my! Add Made In Nature’s Tuscan Garlic and Tomato Grain Fusion and you’ve got a delicious and light Mother’s Day main.

Apricot and Yogurt Spiced Hard Boiled Eggs

Yogurt and dried apricots make these dressed-up deviled eggs just as pretty as they are tasty. Don’t be surprised if this is a recipe mom asks to steal.

Something Chocolate
Chocolate-Dipped Candied Apricots
Who says only strawberries can be chocolate covered? Made In Nature Apricots, Pineapples, Bananas and Apples pair perfectly with antioxidant-rich dark chocolate. Sprinkle with your favorite nuts and seeds for extra crunch and a boost from healthy fats.

Raw Truffle Balls
Dried fruit and touch of orange juice makes these truffle balls sweet enough. Though they taste like an indulgence, they’re packed with nutrition making them perfect for breakfast or the trail.
