Although we are typically known as the OG of deliciously soft dried fruit, we like to shake things up in our quest to reimagine healthy snacking. Our new Puffed Fruit Medley and Puffed Veggie Medley are crunchy, crispy, and packed with intense fruit and veggie flavor.

What Are Puffed Fruit and Veggies?

Our Puffed Fruit and Veggies are a one-of-a-kind snack. If we were to describe the eating experience, we would describe it as a marriage of a perfectly ripe fruit/vegetable with a crunchy kettle chip. But, unlike other products on the market, ours does not contain any added oil, salt, or sugars! We respect the natural flavors Mother Nature has put into our fruits and veggies – they are complete as is. Although we can’t spill the beans on our exact puffing-process, we will let you in on a little secret: we use heating techniques, never freeze-drying. We take immense pride in our puffing process; it honors the shape and flavor of the fruits and veggies, and it will never leave your mouth feeling dry and chalky (no offense, freeze-dried products.) Our puffed medleys are ready to revolutionize healthy snacking.

Why Puffed Fruit and Veggies?

We enjoy finding opportunities in healthy snacking. When it comes to just using organic fruits and veggies, we had to get creative. Veggie chips? Already done. Freeze-dried fruit? Too many options. Puffed salty snacks? Saturated (grocery) shelves. Fruit and Veggie-based puffed snacks? Bingo! We got inspired by other crunchy fruit and veggie snacks in the market, and identified an opportunity unlike the others — organic, gluten-free fruit and vegetables puffed into a crispy, snackable product. And the best part? The ingredients are simple, nutritious, and nothing short of delicious.

How Can I Consume Puffed Fruit and Veggies?

Made in Nature Puffed Veggies Zucchini Boats

Puffed Veggie Zucchini Boats

Looking for a sneaky way to add more vegetables to your diet? Look no further. Our Puffed Veggie Zucchini Boats are veggie-forward meal that is perfect for a quick, healthy week-night dinner.


  • 3 – 4 medium zucchinis
  • ½ white (or yellow) onion, diced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 veggie sausages of choice (we prefer Field Roast, Smoked Apple & Sage)
  • ¾ cup vegan parmesan of choice (we prefer Violife)
  • 3 cloves garlic, diced
  • ¼ cup Made In Nature Puffed Veggie Medley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 – 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 – 2 tsp red pepper flakes


  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Slice your zucchinis lengthwise (in halves.) Scoop out the seeds and add the zucchinis to the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Using a brush, coat the zucchinis with oil. Coat all the sides, then top with salt, pepper, garlic salt, and oregano.
  4. Once the zucchinis are prepped, heat a frying pan over the stove and coat with 1 tbsp olive oil.
  5. While your pan heats up, dice your onion, garlic, and veggie sausages. Add the onion to the pan for 4 – 5 minutes, then add in your veggie sausage and garlic. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the mixture from heat and set aside. Using a spoon, scoop marinara into each zucchini boat. Depending on the size of the zucchini, use anywhere from 2 tbsp – 4 tbsp of sauce.
  7. Once each boat has sauce, scoop ¼ cup of the veggie sausage, onion, and garlic mixture into each boat until full. Top with a sprinkle of cheese and add your red pepper flakes.
  8. Place the zucchini boats into the oven for 22 – 30 minutes. Time will vary depending on the size of the zucchini, so check them often to ensure they are evenly cooked.
  9. When the zucchinis are done, remove from oven. Let cool for 5 – 10 minutes, and then crush up your Made In Nature Puffed Veggie Medley and crumble over the top of each boat. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

    Arugula and Puffed Veggie Salad

    Regular croutons are great and all, but they’ve had their time. It’s time for croutons to step aside and let Made In Nature Puffed Veggie’s take the lead. Crunchy, delicious, and nutritious – what else could you ask for in a salad topper? This salad recipe is a certified crowd pleaser (and it’s gluten free!)


    • 3 – 4 cups arugula
    • ½ cup broccoli sprouts
    • ½ apple, diced
    • ½ cup Made In Nature Puffed Veggie Medley
    • 2 lemons, juiced
    • 2 – 3 tbsp olive oil, juiced
    • 1 tsp salt (optional)
    • 1 tsp pepper (optional)


    1. Begin by adding your arugula to a medium sized mixing bowl.
    2. Next, dice your apple and add to the bowl.
    3. In a small bowl, juice your lemons and stir in your olive oil. Add in salt and pepper if desired.
    4. Add the dressing to the salad and toss until evenly coated.

    Once the salad is tossed, place your broccoli sprouts and Puffed Veggie Medley to the top. Serve immediately.

    • ½ cup cashews
    • ½ cup almonds
    • 1 cup (2-3 packs) of Made In Nature’s Second Chances: Date, Fig, Apricot
    • ½ cup Made In Nature Maple Vanilla Coconut Smiles
    • 1 pack Made In Nature Puffed Fruit


    1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine your cashews, almonds, and Second Chances blend, and combine.
    2. Then, gently mix in the Coconut Smiles and the Puffed Fruit.

    Mad In Nature Puffed Fruit and Chia Pudding

    Puffed Fruit Chia Pudding

    This 5-ingredient chia pudding is a staple recipe – packed with fiber and protein, you really can’t go wrong! We love chia pudding topped with fresh and dried fruit, so adding Puffed Fruit as a topper was a no brainer. Enjoy this as an energizing breakfast, a midday pick-me-up, or a refreshing sweet treat. 


    • ½ cup milk of choice (we used oat milk)
    • 2 tbsp chia seeds
    • 2 tsp maple syrup
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • ¼ cup Made In Nature Puffed Fruit


    1. In a jar, combine your chia seeds, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix well and let the mixture settle for 5 minutes.
    2. Once the chia seeds have settled, give them another stir. Cover the jar and place in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours.
    3. Remove the chia pudding from the fridge when you’re ready to eat, and top with Made In Nature’s Puffed Fruit for a crunchy addition.
