PRODUCTS AND INGREDIENTS

Where are your products grown?

We follow the fruit and source our organic ingredients from the places they grow best: Turkey, Costa Rica, Mexico, Algeria, Tunisia, and right here in the U.S.

Where are your products made?

While we source our ingredients from around the world, our manufacturing facility is located in Fresno, California. This allows us to maintain the highest standards of quality, food safety, and care in every step of production.

How are your fruits dried?

There are two methods we use, depending on the fruit. Our Smyrna Figs, Apricots, Cranberries, Goji Berries, Dates, and Raisins are naturally sun-dried. For the rest of our fruits, we use a gentle method called tunnel drying, which uses clean, warm air to preserve flavor and quality without the need for additives.

What allergens are used in your facilities?

Our facility processes peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, eggs, and soy. We follow strict protocols for receiving separation, scheduling, and cleaning to minimize cross-contact. For your safety, please always refer to the allergen information listed on your product packaging.

Are your snacks organic? fair trade? non-GMO?

Organic: All Made in Nature products are USDA Certified Organic. This means every ingredient is grown and processed without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

We work closely with responsible growers who practice sustainable agriculture to create snacks that are better for the earth and your body.

Interested in learning more about the USDA certification process? Check it out here.

Non-GMO: All Made in Nature products are Non-GMO Project Verified, ensuring no genetically modified ingredients make it into your snacks.

Fair Trade: Our products are responsibly sourced. Each supplier undergoes a social audit before we purchase from them, and our facilities in California have passed rigorous third-party audits.

Are your products vegan?

Yes, all of our products are vegan and 100% plant based.

Are your products gluten-free?

All of our products are Certified Gluten-free.
To ensure consumer safety, please consult your packaging for the most accurate information.

Are your products kosher?

Yes, most of our products are certified Kosher. However, a few items, such as our Goji Berries and Superberry Fruit Fusion, are not. For the most accurate information, please refer to the Kosher certification listed on the product packaging.

Are your products nut-free?

While many of our products are made without nuts, some do contain them, and all are produced in facilities where nuts may be present. For the most accurate and up-to-date allergen information, please refer to the product packaging.

Is there sulfur in your dried fruit?

No. We believe fruit is perfect just the way nature made it, so we never use sulfur dioxide or other chemical preservatives.

Why are your Dried Apricots brown instead of orange?

Our apricots are naturally bronze because we do not use sulfur dioxide, a common preservative sprayed on conventional dried apricots to maintain their bright orange color. Instead, we sun-dry our fruit to preserve its rich flavor without the use of chemicals. We believe safety and quality matter more than an artificially enhanced appearance.

What's the white coating on your Dried Smyrna Figs, Bananas and Plums?

What you’re seeing is a natural layer of fruit sugar that surfaces during the drying process. As our organic fruit continues to ripen and age gently in the package, these sugars can migrate outward and crystallize on the skin. It’s a normal and harmless sign of real, minimally processed fruit—and often a sign of extra sweetness.

What temperature do you dry your Plums?

Our plums are grown and dried in the U.S. using a gentle method called tunnel drying, which circulates clean, warm air (up to 140°F) to dry the fruit. This common practice in the dried fruit industry helps preserve flavor and quality

What is the shelf life of your snacks?

Shelf life varies by product, so we recommend checking the Best By date printed on the package. In general, unopened snacks stay fresh for 8 to 12 months. To extend freshness after opening, we suggest storing the product in the refrigerator or freezer.

For orders placed through our website, we guarantee at least 45 days of shelf life from the date of shipment.

What does it mean if the package is swollen or inflated?

This natural occurrence happens when our dried fruit continues to ripen and dry after packaging, releasing small amounts of gas that cause the bag to expand. In some cases, exposure to higher temperatures can lead to mild fermentation, which also produces gas and may give the fruit a slightly tangy flavor—but rest assured, the product is still safe to enjoy.

Why does my packaging look different than what is being shown online?

When we make changes to our packaging there can be a transition period during which the old packaging is still on store shelves. While our website reflects the most current product being manufactured, to ensure your safety please consult your packaging for the most accurate information of what’s inside that bag.

Can I recycle your packaging?

Most of our bags are made of plastic #7, which can only be recycled at certain facilities. Give your local recycling center a call before you try.

In other packaging news: from bags and boxes to packets and canisters, we're always on the lookout for packaging that will keep our products fresh, portable, and affordable. We have our eyes set on compostable options and hope to make that transition soon.
