An easy, sweet or savory dessert! This dish would be a perfect Passover Sadar gift wrapped up in your favorite tissue paper and ribbon!
- In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter and sugar. Bring to a simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and add the salt and vanilla. Pour the hot mixture over the matzo, spreading with a heatproof spatula to cover evenly.
- Transfer the matzo to the oven, and bake for 15 minutes (it'll bubble up a bit during the baking). After 15 minutes, remove from the oven, and scatter the chocolate chips evenly over the top. Let sit 5 minutes, and then spread the chocolate evenly with an offset spatula.
- Once the chocolate has been spread and has a syrupy consistency, use Made In Nature organic dried fruit to top the matzo pieces. Be sure to press firmly into the warm chocolate. Sprinkle with a bit of coarse salt if desired.
- Place completed matzos in the refrigerator until the chocolate has hardened – About 1-2 hours. Break into chunks and serve!
