Delicious and easy to make, this sweet and tangy sauce is perfect for summertime grilling. Pairs beautifully with chicken, pork, and traditional barbecue style ribs.

  • 1 Medium Onion, Diced
  • 2 Cups Organic Made in Nature Dried, Unsulfured Apricots
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 Inches Fresh Ginger, Minced
  • 1 Serrano Pepper, Minced, Seeds Removed
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1/4 Cup Honey
  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 Cup Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Teaspoon Cayenne
  1. In a large pot, add alive oil, onion, garlic, ginger, and serrano and season with salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat until onions and translucent. Meanwhile, blend apricots until smooth and add to pot. Allow to cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add honey, ketchup, tomato paste, vinegar, water and cayenne. Simmer for 15 minutes and then remove from heat. Blend with an immerse blender until sauce is smooth. Return to medium heat and cook on a simmer for 45 minutes.
